Where Did Summer Go?

Wow! So much to talk about. If you have signed up for calendar notifications from Outpost 292, your inbox probably has been blowing up over the Summer. It is that time again – time to get ready for fall – and that means school, football, changing trees, and Royal Rangers is back in the swing of things.

But, if you are among the many of us that Summer seemed to fly by and we find ourselves wondering what is next, I have a couple of reminders for you. First, I would urge you to sign up to this website for reminders. Just scroll down for that link. Whenever a new event or post comes up, you will get an email reminder, and you can add the ones that interest you right your calendar.

So, on to those upcoming events.

Please don’t forget to sign up for the kickoff pizza party and registration. I won’t talk too much about that except to say, I just found out our select guest is Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics. They promise to put on a great show. So be sure and sign up online here or at the church.
I also wanted to let all Discovery Rangers or older know about the camporee this year. It is coming quick, so let me know if you’re going to attend. The date is September 27-29, and it will be held at Creekside Assembly of God church in East Amherst, NY.

This year, we will also be attending the Northeast Regional FCF Territorial Rendevouz in Greene, NY. This special event does not come to New York very often. It is open to any boy who has received his Gold Eagle or Bronze Achievement Award. The dates are Thursday, October 3 through Sunday, October 6. I will contact eligible boys individually for this event.

I will have packets and more information available for all of these plus more at the Kickoff/Registration night. I hope to see you there.
